Agency vs Executive Luxuries

Yes, it’s the age-old battle of the ‘Agency’ vs. ‘ Independent’. We’ve all heard the horror stories of why staying independent is better than being with an agency and vice versa. First, Terri and I agree on one thing – not all agencies are bad. Yes, we said it… not all agencies are bad. There are some agencies that we’ve are lucky to be with that are run professionally and have their girls’ best interest at heart, they screen for safety, they respect the hobbyist, and the providers.

Unfortunately these are few and far between. While an agency is the right choice for some ladies a growing number are choosing to stay independent. Being an independent really gives a provider full control of the type of hobbyist she sees, the value of her time, and how she advertisers/markets herself. In our opinion being an independent provider is probably one of the most “real” ways to decide how someone values herself.

The downside to being independent and managing your own workload is that time is limited. There are only 24 hours in a day, how do you see 5-6 clients, answer email, return missed calls, actively participate on the boards, answer your email, and still keep what little semblance of a personal life you thought you had? Simple: Executive Luxuries.

Some people want to run their own business but aren’t actually qualified or knowledgeable enough to do so. This is a painful but honest truth. There is nothing than an interactaction with a highly unprofessional provider who demands the very best in clients. When you don’t know how to fix your shower (and we all need to wash our asses lol), you hire a plumber. If you need help to run your business or just don’t know how… hire Executive Luxuries.

Below are just a few points about why Executive Luxuries is a better choice for those who want to stay independent but don’t have the time to manage their business or don’t have the knowledge to do so than going to an agency.

FACT 1: Finance
Let’s be honest, professional companionship is a business, it is not you playing the ‘wing-man’ for your girlfriend so you can keep her boyfriends creepy cousin out their hair. I’ll say it again, IT’S A BUSINESS.
On average (!Warning! Math will be coming in to play soon) agencies collect 40-50% of each provider’s appointment. While there is overhead that the girls don’t consider (advertising isn’t cheap) the agencies collect far more than the cost of the advertising their actually doing + their operation cost.

Example 1:  Molly’s advertising on 3 of the largest adult directories average $500/month.
Molly’s hourly rate is $600/hour, at a 50/50 split the agency takes $300 per call that Molly books. If Molly has 15 appointments in 1 week the agency has made $4500. That’s 1 week!

Yes, the agency should recoup the cost of paying for Molly’s advertising and then the operating costs involved to have someone handle all the communications that result in the 15 appointments but a $4000 profit for 1week is RIDICULOUS!

Executive Luxuries charges a flat rate for each of the models/agencies that we work with. Our basic package begins at $400/week. So let’s use Molly again, it’s been a slow week, she’s only had 10 appointments and made $3000.

With agency: Molly would take home $1500
With Executive Luxuries: Molly would take home $2600, our fee: $400 – that’s an $1100 profit vs. the agency!

Fact 2: Entrepreneurship
Executive Luxuries is not an agency and does not set the rules for what you can and cannot do. While we will give advice based off our combined experience of over 11 years in the business at the end of the day the decision is yours. It’s YOUR BUSINESS! Note: We do work with agencies that share our work ethic and have respect for all parties involved.

Being independent isn’t just about being able to make your own choices when it comes to your client, yes freedom is part of it but entrepreneurship is the biggest perk of being independent. Being an independent is the equivalent to opening you own luxury, one-of-a-kind boutique. You choose everything that goes in it, decide the store hours, pick a location, set prices for your product etc.

When most of us think about opening our own business there’s a rush of excitement, no more will you just be a worm punching in and out in your mundane 9 to 5 job. No, you my friend are a business owner.  You can just see yourself giving your boss (well, former boss) the finger and telling that evil bitch in HR to shove it as you walk out of the building and drive off into the sunset in your new luxury SUV. Why don’t ladies take the same perspective when they decide to go independent?

Fact 3: Professionalism
“It’s like going to the DMV and having a conversation with someone who doesn’t give a shit about what you need let alone actually trying to help you.”

This is how a hobbyist described an interaction he had with a provider when trying to book an appointment. She was rude, she rushed him, she only half-listened, she interrupted, she cursed, she haggled, and then she was 30minutes late but upset that he decided to cancel! Don’t ever let this be you. Not even if it’s the worst day of your life!

Executive Luxuries handles all of our clients’ communications with professional, friendly, and sexy warmth. The gentlemen who receive our emails never know that it isn’t the provider that their talking to. We make sure all of the ladies we work with know EXACTLY what we’ve said to their clients and will even ask her to add her personal flair so it always remains personable. Our goal is to be an extension of you! Not a replacement.

I’ll cut this short (this is something that could go on for days) but please feel free to contact Terri and I with questions, we’d be happy to answer them and get your feedback: info@exec-lux.com.
